He said, "We are faced with two options: either consensus or not adapting to the vacancy and not accepting it."

Amid ongoing international warnings, Reuters quoted a U.S. official confirming that "we seek to prevent the situation on the Lebanese border from turning into a full-scale war," noting that "we are deeply concerned about the escalation on the Israeli-Lebanese border." In turn, Israel announced that Hezbollah, Iran, and the Lebanese government bear "full responsibility" for the increasing violence across the Israeli-Lebanese border, hinting that an escalation may be planned. Additionally, G7 leaders indicated they are "particularly concerned" about the situation along the Lebanon-Israel border.

On the Arab and international fronts, the U.S. President stated that he has not lost hope for a ceasefire in Gaza, "but Hamas must act."
