Israel did not suffice with its airstrikes on villages and towns in southern Lebanon, while Hezbollah retaliated by targeting vital military sites belonging to Israel.

Metropolitan Beirut and its suburbs for the Greek Orthodox Church, Archbishop Elias Audi, during his presiding over the Mass on the occasion of Monday of the Holy Spirit, affirmed that "heroism is not in exchanging accusations and waging wars but in acknowledging the cause of the crisis, identifying its perpetrators, and demonstrating ways out of it."

Regionally, Israel launched a military operation in the city of Rafah in southern Gaza, prompting Egypt to raise the level of military readiness in the northern Sinai region adjacent to Gaza. Additionally, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry warned of the humanitarian risks of the operation in Rafah, which "pose a grave threat to over a million Palestinians." The Egyptian Parliament emphasized that the peace agreement between Egypt and Israel does not allow the latter to act in the "Philadelphi Corridor," reaffirming that Egyptian national security is a red line.

Regarding negotiations, a high-level Egyptian source revealed that Hamas's targeting of the Kerem Abu Salem area with missiles yesterday hindered ceasefire negotiations in Gaza and prisoner exchange.

In a parallel context, Hamas's Political Bureau member, Ezat al-Rishq, stated that "any military aggression on Rafah will derail the negotiations process."

In Damascus, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad discussed with the head of the Popular Mobilization Authority in Iraq, Falih al-Fayyadh, ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in combating terrorism and effectively coordinating border control.

Internationally, the spokesperson for the White House National Security Council, John Kirby, stated that reaching an agreement to release hostages is the best way to preserve their lives and avoid an invasion of Rafah. Similarly, France and the European Union expressed their rejection of an Israeli attack on Rafah and the displacement of its residents.

Chinese President Xi Jinping, in a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, emphasized the need for China and the European Union to confront the escalation in Ukraine.

On the other hand, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced that Moscow would consider the F-16 fighters appearing in Ukraine as carriers of nuclear weapons. The French Foreign Ministry denied sending troops from the Foreign Legion to Ukraine, stating in a statement that the reports circulating on this matter are not true.
