In a remarkable development today, an Israeli airstrike targeted a military vehicle belonging to the UNIFIL near Rumaysh in the south, resulting in several injuries among UNIFIL soldiers, including officers from Australia, Chile, and Norway, in addition to a Lebanese translator. UNIFIL has begun investigating the incident, while Israel denied involvement of the Israeli army in the operation.
In the same context, an Israeli drone targeted a barrier for a Lebanese army site in the "Haddab" area in Ayta al-Shaab, with no injuries reported.
On another note, Maronite Cardinal Patriarch Bechara Boutros al-Rahi, in his Easter message, deemed the Lebanese Parliament, with its president and members, intentionally depriving Lebanon of a president without legal justification, thus violating the constitution.
Regionally, the Israeli aggression on Gaza reached its 176th day, resulting in the death of five individuals and dozens injured due to gunfire and stampedes during aid distribution this morning in Gaza.
Another ship carrying aid departed from the port of Larnaca in Cyprus carrying around 400 tons of food destined for Gaza.
In a statement by the families of Israeli prisoners detained in Gaza, they considered "Netanyahu as the main obstacle to seeing our sons. From now on, we will demand the downfall of Netanyahu and protest to overthrow him."
Meanwhile, the American newspaper "The Washington Post" reported, citing official sources, the US administration's approval of new arms shipments to Israel worth $2.5 billion.
The Jordanian Foreign Minister stated, "What is required from the Security Council is to take a binding decision under Chapter VII to prevent the starvation of Gaza's inhabitants."
On the other hand, the Egyptian Foreign Minister emphasized, "The international community still deals with the Palestinian people by unfair standards regarding human rights."
