During his meeting with the Press Syndicate, President Elias El Morr stated that Lebanon is going through a very difficult phase. Regarding the presidential file, President El Morr said, "We are committed to Suleiman Frangieh until the end because Lebanon needs a leader capable of uniting all Lebanese components and leading towards a solution, and Suleiman Frangieh is that man." He also called on President Saad Hariri to return to political work in Lebanon.

In turn, President Berri indicated after his meeting with the Quintet Committee that the meeting was good and will be repeated.

Regionally, the war in Gaza entered its 164th day amidst ongoing Israeli bombardment and a humanitarian catastrophe reaching the level of famine.

Simultaneously, the Israeli army and the "Shin Bet" announced the "elimination of the head of internal security operations for Hamas in Gaza, Fawzi Abu Al-Humus, during the operation in the Al-Shifa compound."

As for ceasefire negotiations, an Israeli official stated that his country sent a delegation to Qatar today to negotiate through intermediaries with Hamas for a 6-week ceasefire in Gaza, during which the movement would release 40 hostages.

Internationally, the White House announced that U.S. President Joe Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a phone call, the first of its kind in over a month.

Moving to Paris, where dozens of youths attacked a police station in the La Courneuve suburb north of the French capital with fireworks and Molotov cocktails, following the death of a young man hit by a police car during a chase.
