Some speculate that Netanyahu is paving the way for the Cabinet to accept any agreement, based on three elements: First, that it has achieved the goal of eliminating Hamas's military capability. Second, that it has achieved the goal of releasing hostages. Third, a long-term element involves preventing Hamas from rebuilding its military capabilities by remaining within the borders of Gaza after the ceasefire within a range of 1 to 3 kilometers.
Meanwhile, the French Press Agency quoted an Egyptian official as saying that Cairo will host a new round of negotiations tomorrow, Thursday, under Egyptian-Qatari auspices to "calm" the situation in the Gaza Strip.
Saudi Arabia announced through its Foreign Ministry that it will not establish diplomatic relations with Israel unless the Palestinian state is recognized, the Israeli aggression on Gaza ceases, and the occupation withdraws from it.
Internationally, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres warned of "countless regional repercussions" of a possible Israeli ground attack on the city of Rafah, where hundreds of thousands of Palestinian refugees are located in the south of the Gaza Strip on the border with Egypt.
Guterres stated that "such an act would greatly exacerbate what is already a humanitarian nightmare," reiterating his call for "an immediate humanitarian ceasefire" and the release of all hostages.
In a separate context, Beijing denounced the Dutch government's accusation against Chinese hackers of conducting a spying campaign against the Netherlands, considering it "baseless allegations."
