Iran Nuclear Deal Talks

Iranian state media reported, Iran's President Hassan Rouhani said on Saturday he was optimistic over talks to revive the 2015 Iran nuclear deal and suggested an agreement had been reached to lift the main sanctions on Tehran. Only the details remained to be agreed on, Rouhani added.

Palestinian Evictions Hearing

The Israeli Supreme Court on Sunday postponed a hearing on the possible eviction of several Palestinian families from their homes in Jerusalem and will set a new date within 30 days. The Supreme Court said it was canceled at the request of the State Attorney General.

Qatar to Lift Restrictions

Qatar will gradually start lifting coronavirus restrictions in four phases starting end of May. The duration of each phase will be at least 3 weeks with a continuous assessment of national indicators to determine moving from one phase to another.

Afghanistan Bus Explosion

At least 11 people have been killed and 28 others injured due to a bomb explosion in a bus in Afghanistan late on Sunday. The roadside bomb exploded in the southern province of Zabul.

US 'Concerned' About Clashes

The White House said in a statement, US National Security Adviser, Jake Sullivan, on Sunday expressed "serious concerns" to his Israeli counterpart about the violent clashes in Jerusalem. The clashes were sparked by the planned evictions of several Palestinian families from their homes in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in East Jerusalem.
