N. Korea Responds to Biden 
North Korea said the administration of US President Joe Biden took a wrong first step by criticizing its missile test. North Korea previously claimed it had launched a new type of tactical short-range ballistic missile on Thursday. Biden on Friday said the test violated UN Security Council resolutions.

 

Arabs Condemn Houthi Attacks 
Arab countries condemned the latest Houthi attacks towards Saudi Arabia. Kuwait called for prompt international action. UAE said the attacks threaten the security and stability of global energy supplies. Bahrain described the attacks as a flagrant violation of all international norms and laws.

 

Efforts to Free 'Ever Given'
Experts have removed thousands of tonnes of ballast and brought more tug boats to help refloat the huge container ship stuck across the Suez Canal. The Suez Canal Authority Chairman said it is not possible to give an estimated date for when they hope to have the ship free.

 

Egypt Building Collapse
A multi-story building collapsed in Cairo early Saturday, killing at least eight people and injuring two-dozen others. The Egyptian Public Prosecution ordered an urgent investigation into the reasons behind the collapse.

 

Iran, China Sign Landmark Accord 
Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi signed a 25-year cooperation agreement today. Wang expressed that China's relations with Iran will be permanent and strategic.
